The Long and Winding Rhodes (to restoring and expanding the British Empire….) – #1

Never underestimate British Expansionism, or how proponents of this manage to obtain control of the wealth to make it happen: Cecil Rhodes, Rhodes Scholarships.  This (long) post looks at the biography and history of Cecil Rhodes (and compatriots) in the colonial “Scramble for Africa” and brings it to the 21st century, which it has continued to influence.

The same groups promoting human rights and equality, I saw again in this history, are often only doing it for political, economic advantage against a neighbor.  I also again saw how technology as a force wins the day.  So what is the most forceful technology around TODAY, and who controls it?

In this history also, American ingenuity (Hiram Maxim, 1884, the world’s first automatic machine gun) helped establish British AND German domination in South and Southwest Africa after which it came in “handy” in World War I.  When the British army didn’t pick up on this; Maxim had it demonstrated to Kaiser Wilhelm II (grandson of Queen Victoria, King of Prussia 1888-1918, etc.), who did.  Apparently it was first practiced in suppressing  Africans in order to get at their mineral wealth; Cecil Rhodes used it in 1893.

The matter of secrecy in planning also comes up. We have had at least one American President (Bill Clinton) a Rhodes Scholar, and it’s important to understand when political, financial, and social control of any country is centralized in the hands of people with such an agenda.

All in all, you can see how certain groups do business, as they same groups or their descendants (sometimes, literally, sometimes philosophically) are still doing business, and IN the same business – attempting to control wealth with the goal of running the world, establishing peace — “our way” (or else!).  DeBeers, Anglo American, the Oppenheimers, Apartheid, a genocide in SW Africa executed by the Germans, and how this became a model “how to” for concentration camps (and worse); literally some of the same personnel were inspiring and influencing each other.    This history of the 1800s, 1900s has to be understood in order to see what the latter end of the 1900s (with the Internet, the Web), and this century, just may hold for us.  Above all, I see the ability to control wealth AND education AND superior technology (including firepower) makes the difference.

It should be (but, for Americans, isn’t) common knowledge that THE intention of Cecil Rhodes (1853-1902) and the famous Rhodes Scholarships is primarily political.  Educating generations of bright young (men, til ca. 1970) at Oxford was part of the plan:

“The extension of British rule throughout the world, the perfecting of a system of emigration from the United Kingdom and of colonization by British subjects of all lands wherein the means of livelihood are attainable by energy, labor and enterprise, and especially the occupation by British settlers of the entire continent of Africa, the Holy Land, the valley of Euphrates, the islands of Cyprus and Candia, the whole of South America, the islands of the Pacific not heretofore possessed by Great Britain, the whole of the Malay archipelago, the seaboard of China and Japan, the ultimate recovery of the United States of America as an integral part of the British empire, the consolidation of the whole empire, the inauguration of a system of colonial representation in the imperial parliament which may tend to weld together the disjointed members of the empire, and finally the foundation of so great a power as to hereafter renders wars impossible and promote the best interest of humanity.”

Professor Carroll Quigley,  who I heard also mentored, or at least influenced, former US President Bill Clinton while Clinton was at Georgetown, was credited by Clinton in 1991 in launching his presidential Campaign, and in 1992 acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention:

Quigley was born in Boston, and attended Harvard University, where he studied history and earned B.A, M.A., and Ph.D. degrees. He taught at Princeton University, and then at Harvard, and then at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University from 1941 to 1976.[1]

From 1941 until 1969, he taught a two-semester course at Georgetown on the development of civilizations. According to the obituary in the Washington Star, many alumni of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service asserted that this was “the most influential course in their undergraduate careers”.[1]

In addition to his academic work, Quigley served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy, the Smithsonian Institution, and the House Select Committee on Astronautics and Space Exploration in the 1950s.[1]Quigley served as a book reviewer for the Washington Star and was a contributor and editorial board member ofCurrent History.[2]:94

The “Quigley” quotes here (red background) are from “The Barnes Review (Journal of  Nationalist History and Hope),” but you can find similar information elsewhere.  Professor Quigley also wrote “Tragedy and Hope”which was cited in another 1971 publication named “None Dare Call It Conspiracy” (that’s literally the link to its text).

The Rhodes Scholarships & the Drive for
World Empire
Quigley’s lesser-known work, the posthumously published and very hard-to-find study, The Anglo-American Establishment, interestingly enough, was a glowing history of the one-world movement under the auspices of the Rhodes Trust and the scholars who have come under its wing. In the preface to The Anglo-American Establishment, Quigley wrote:

The Rhodes scholarships, established by the terms of Cecil Rhodes’s seventh will, are known to everyone. What is not so widely known is that Rhodes’s five previous wills left his fortune to form a secret society, which was to devote itself to the preservation and expansion of the British empire. And what does not seem to be known to anyone is that this secret society was created by Rhodes and his principal trustee, Lord Milner, and continues to exist to this day.

To be sure, this secret society is not a childish thing like the Ku Klux Klan, and it does not have any secret robes, secret handclasps or secret passwords. It does not need any of these, since its members know each other intimately. It probably has no oaths of secrecy nor any formal procedure of initiation. It does, however, exist and holds secret meetings, over which the senior member present presides.“

If nothing else, this is character testimony.  In executing the grand scheme to dominate the world for empire, it tends to first start was firsteconomic involvement (in a foreign area), trading, then military, then governmental/takeover and from there (as to colonialism), domination (brutally so) economically AND technologically (weapons).

The truth is that Rhodes scholars are chosen and trained for the specific purpose of working to dissolve America’s national sovereignty, toward the ultimate goal of re-uniting the United States with the British empire. Here’s the full story — from some well-established sources.

Writing in his study of The Tax Exempt Foundations, author William H. McIlhany II, provides a summary of the events leading to the establishment of the Rhodes scholarships:

In 1891, South African diamond magnate Cecil Rhodes was serving the first of six consecutive years as prime minister of the Cape Colony. By that year he had also been introduced to many other men of wealth and influence from Oxford and Cambridge. They, like Rhodes, had been idealistically attracted to favor imperialistic expansion of “the English ruling class tradition” as well as domestic “social reform” as both had been stirringly preached by John Ruskin.

Rhodes’s group of acquaintances, introduced to him by Fabian socialist William T. Stead, a journalist, included Alfred (later Lord) Milner; Arthur (Lord) Balfour; and Reginald Baliol Brett (Lord Esher). On February 5, 1891, they formed a secret society to promote further expansion of British control over the world, particularly aiming a future merger of Great Britain and the United States into a regional government body. 

This goal was put forth by their public organization, the Round Table Groups, organized and led by Milner after Rhodes’s death in 1902. In spite of Milner’s public declarations of fidelity to the interests of the British empire, much controversy has arisen from the fact that Milner’s agents were instrumental both in provoking hostilities with Germany in 1904 through the Jameson Raid in South Africa and in assisting with the financing of the 1917 Bolshevik takeover of Russia..

If you are paying attention to some of the USA court/government behaviors, it is turning: regional;  centralized (lawless) and the word “RoundTable” keeps cropping up in state government.  Elitist enough for you?  Who gets to sit at the roundtable — any of the people being governed?

My saying this is not “anti-intellectual.”  I have college degree(s), however, it was in following up on HHS grants — and seeing who was funding the various “Institutes” or “Centers of Excellence” at certain universities, you simply start noticing things.  And as to education, and indoctrinations, it should be common knowledge that much of the contemporary (and utterly disgraceful, not to mention now dangerous to kids (and teachers) ) compulsory education system (mandated, government-supported inferiority for all) got started in and around Massachusetts.  Harvard played a critical role.    Also when I was looking at the program material, Harvard continually came up.  Let’s not mince words — there is an expectation that these graduates will indeed rule the world.  Add to that, the Harvard Endowment (and its investments), it’s Oxford connections, it’s a force to be reckoned with!

How are Rhodes’s Amelican proteges throwing their weight around?  (image of the first two columns of this article)More than a third of the living American scholars are in the educational field, mostly at Harvard and other eastern institutions. In their teaching and writing they pass along the views they soaked up from the Oxford dons.  (note:  publication was dated 2004) But in recent years the scholars have infiltrated the government in increasing numbers. They hold key positions, particularly in the vital foreign policymaking State Department. Rhodes scholars also command posts in the United Nations and economic cooperation administration. The returning savants are active in the field of opinion molding with a large sprinkling among the eastern internationalist press, magazines and radio. Another printout of similar text has a few more details: (lists many Rhodes Scholars in State dept, issues regarding various wars, pearl harbor and more — suggested reading!, including): Ready to Shed Blood Rhodes, a tyrant and dictator in the Cape colony as well as other parts of South Africa, showed by his acts that his definition of establishing “peace” was the enforcement of British rule over other peoples. He was not averse to shedding blood in order to get his kind of “peace.” In 1895 Rhodes gave men, money, and influence toward the abortive Jameson raid.This was a raid led by his associate, Leander Starr Jameson, into the Transvaal in support of a projected [up]rising at Johannesburg. The rising failed to materialize. James and his 500 men had to surrender to the Boer commanders. For his part in the conspiracy, Rhodes was condemned by both the Cape and imperial parliaments. (Writing this up, or abstracting from various sources, would make the post too long.  I may try and post it separately on this or another blog and include a link).  Understanding who Cecil Rhodes was, and how he behaved (purpose, actions) in Africa — while Great Britain along with other nations participated in “The Scramble for Africa,” is a character testimony of just how much bloodshed was acceptable to him in the pursuit of world peace (if dominated by Great Britain).  Such magnificent plans require a lot of funding — and a lot of the bloodshed in Africa was focused on controlling, and centralizing control of its diamonds, and of its gold.  (More below)…

Then when I discovered that part of the determination in how to “triangulate” Democrat vs. Republican budget standoff in 1996 resulted in PRWORA (TANF, Welfare Reform, etc.), under coaching from two Rhodes Scholars (Pres. Bill Clinton and his consultant from Arkansas, Dick Morris) for political, if amoral reasons, I took renewed interest in the “Cecil Rhodes” (and his South African wealth) factor.

Even as a student, Rhodes had a sense of destiny, of shaping history to suit his own tastes, and he outlined his views in a document called “Confession of Faith” at about the time he prepared his first will in 1877. He wrote:

Rhodes penned seven wills, the originals of which repose today in Rhodes House at Oxford. The first five contemplated the creation of a worldwide secret society to promote the British empire.The sixth will, dated 1893, made the first provisions for scholarships. They were to be for “young colonists” in the furtherance of empire unity. American scholarships appeared in the final will, prepared in 1899 and made public in 1902 following Rhodes’s death..

You had better take this seriously; and take a serious look at “The Scramble for Africa.”

Rhodes had no problem mowing down natives with an American invention of the late 1800s, a machine gun (the Maxim), used also by a Lord Kitchener to quell a “Mahdi” revolt.

The Germans figure in here, and it turns out that they literally developed the model for concentration camps practicing on natives — that is to say, people who’d lived there for thousands of years — in German SouthWest Africa; see “Shark Island” and “Ludewitz.”   Neither the French nor the Brits of course want the Germans dominating their intended colonization, so at a critical juncture, Britain and France (about to go to war), in the “Fashoda incident,” over tea, decided for France to withdraw (see map of continent, below).  Portugal just didn’t make too much headway, and its failure to do so had political consequences at home.

You had better also start to understand (we all had better) that this plan hasn’t been laid down, and that a lot of what goes on in the form of “social engineering” and the entire “mental health” push throughout government and courts these days, has some of its roots in simply intent for global domination, including of all the resources, and economically.  These are literally case studies in how these groups (people) literally operate.  They are “amoral”and are about their own purposes.

In this matter, private equity (control of ALL the resources) while putting puppets in governmental positions is the rule, not the exception.  It is several steps ahead backed up by the technologies to destroy unwanted races or resistors, which is deliberate, and calculated.  However, finances are of course a major part (i.e., control of wealth and reduction of undesirables to slave labor, until they die, basically) is where it’s going.  It’s been there before.

I also say this knowing at a few personal levels (no, I’m not referring to my “ex” but others) exactly what it feels like to be dealing with what might be called an elitist sociopath.  The attitude stinks to high heaven, and it spells danger for anyone targeted for elimination.  I recognized it in reading government rhetoric around TANF.  This lowly blog here (and others like it) may be more important than you realize.  As Rhodes said, his plan may take over a century to complete.

Well, it’s been a little over a century — and next year is a century after 1913 (you know the significance of that year, right, if you’re an American….).  And, while I”m here, “Welfare” is up for reauthorization as “TANF.”  If nothing else, this needs to be stripped out– and of course the CAFR conversations held.  There’s a LOT of work to be done — and I’m asking for more people, as I’m no DeBeers monopoly!  (contact by comments, retweet, etc.  Thanks!).

Remember, there’s an art to stealing and inventing new financial mechanisms to set up the slush funds.  Also remember that mainstream media has been owned for a very long time.  We are talking, very smart leadership with a plan!  You can read about the plan, in between some of the movies aimed at a (dumb) 10 year old mentality, nostalgia, or worrying over whatever’s on the front page of the New York Times.  But I find this more interesting!

He has been at the forefront of advancing this academic field and bringing ideas from research into practice by working directly with businesses and policymakers. (SEE STATUE).  Working class background, his father died early (of drink and TB), John had a great business sense, but how he made the first fortune, pretty interesting — had to do with organizing a football betting pool, with two friend, and another man.  (hover cursor for that segment).  It was a flop, but in 1924-25, when his friends were quitting, Moore (allegedly) said his wife’s support, and “I’d rather live with a man haunted by failure than haunted by regret!” — he offered to buy his friends’ shares out (200 pounds each); and by 1932, had become a millionaire, and started “Littlewoods Direct Mail Store.” (it sounds like he still kept the football pool income; you should read it — there’s a moral in there as to how fortunes are made!) “This (Direct Mail Store) was followed on 6 July 1937 by the opening of the first Littlewoods department store in Blackpool. By the time World War II started there were 25 Littlewoods stores across the UK and over 50 by 1952. In 1960, Moores gave up his chairmanship of the Pools business, {{i.e. more than one income stream}} and handed over the reins to his brother, Cecil Moores, (10 August 1902 – 29 July 1989), so he could become a director of Everton Football Club. It was all this success, and helping bring football (we call it “soccer”) fame to Great Britain, he finally got a Knighthood in 1980: In 1970 Moores was made a Freeman of the city of Liverpool. In 1972 he was made a CBE, in 1978 he was awarded the first Gold Medal for achievement, and in June 1980 he was knighted.  Moores retired as chairman in October 1977 of Littlewoods and was succeeded by his son Peter. However, as profits fell from 49 million to 11 million, (Moores remained on the board) he resumed the chairmanship in November 1980. He gave up this role again in May 1982 and was made life president of the organisation. Sounds like Son Peter didn’t inherit all the business savvy. Some of Sir John’s kids ended up becoming nobility (“Lady”) and having nobility (“Lord”).  Nevertheless,about Peter and his father, “CBE” means “Commander of the British Empire” (see link). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Moores Sir Peter Moores CBE DL (born 9 April 1932/**See above:  He was born into a family whose father was a millionaire (Pounds, not dollars)) is a British businessman, art collector and philanthropist, a former chairman of the Liverpool-based Littlewoods football pools and retailing business in the United Kingdom. He was briefly the Chairman of Everton Football Club. His father, Sir John Moores, was the founder of the company, though the family no longer owns it. In the Sunday Times Rich List 2006 the Moores’ family wealth was estimated at £1,160m. He has given over £93 million to charity. His elder sister Lady Grantchester (née Betty Moores), the widow of Kenneth Bent Suenson-Taylor, 2nd Baron Grantchester (1921–1995) is the nominal head of the family. Sir Peter Moores CBE, DL Sir Peter Moores was born in Lancashire and educated at Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford, where he studied Italian and German. Whilst a student he worked at Glyndebourne as a behind-the-scenes administrator, before going to study at the Vienna Academy of Music for three years, where he produced the Austrian premiere of Benjamin Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia. At the same time he was a production assistant with the Vienna State Opera , working with Viennese artists in Naples, Geneva and Rome. In 1957 he joined his father’s business, Littlewoods, becoming Vice-Chairman in 1976, Chairman from 1977 to 1980 and remaining a director until 1993. His public appointments include from 1981 to 1983 Governor of the BBC, Trustee of the Tate Gallery from 1978 until 1985 and from 1988 to 1992 a Director of Scottish Opera. He is also a member of the British Museum Society. He received the Gold Medal of the Italian Republic in 1974, an Honorary MA from Christ Church, Oxford, in 1975, and was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Northern College of Music in 1985. In 1992 he was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) of Lancashire by HM Queen Elizabeth II. He was appointed a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 1991 and received a Knighthood in the New Year’s Honours List for 2003 in recognition of his charitable services to the arts. In July 2008 he received the Stauffer Medal, the highest award of Germany’s Baden-Wurttemberg Province, and in October 2008 was made an Honorary Doctor of Letters at the University of the West Indies. In the same year, he received the ClassicFM Gramophone Special Achievement Award in recognition of his many initiatives in recording opera. This somewhat humorous discussion on Bill Clinton’s actual lineage suggests they figure out if perhaps he is a  Cecil Rhodes descendant, and then launches into emphasizing more Rhodes influence on then-President Clinton:

After [CLINTON]  was re-elected in 1996, Burke’s Peerage, the British aristocratic heritage society [in full BURKE’S GENEALOGICAL AND HERALDIC HISTORY OF THE PEERAGE, BARONETAGE, AND KNIGHTAGE], whose pronouncements are deemed authoritative, stated that Bill Clinton, a descendant of Hugh Capet and Robert I of France, has more “royal blood” than any president in American history. Curiously, Burke’s Peerage also stated that the candidate with the most “royal blood” has won every presidential election since our Republic was founded. Subsequent events would bear out the certainty that Clinton has royal blood and the raffish propensity to disseminate this royal blood, willy-nilly, in the libidenous manner of a debauched monarch. I am speaking of the blood evidence in the Lewinsky case. In the sordid season of 1998, when the stain on Monica’s blue dress was analyzed, the President’s “blood” — to put it politely — was found to have genetic markers possessed by only one in every five *trillion* Caucasians. Congresswoman from Wisconsin, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (while not exactly speaking out against the marriage promotion aspects), herself a single mother, said, “get real!” about the matter recently.  What’s even more interesting is that in the US House of Representatives Meeting (2012), the head of “Panel 1” in this Congressional Hearing was from the United Kingdom.  Panel 2 was Congressperson Moore, and then there were others.  Of course, the real “problem” is the poor just don’t feel like working, and so actually helping them would be a disincentive!  She exposes this ridiculous line of reasoning.
